Somewhere I read, "The taller the building, the deeper the foundation."
That means that before you start building up, you have to dig down. The passage we'll be studying this Sunday at White Pine, Romans 1:18-2:11, is not what I would call "uplifting", but that's because Paul's purpose in writing it was to dig a hole in our heart deep enough to accommodate the foundation of a skyscraper.
I encourage you to trust that God has big plans for your life, so that this Sunday's big dig will feel like tough love--which it most definitely is.
