The Kind of Worship That Makes Jesus Weep

Listen to, "The Kind of Worship That Makes Jesus Weep" by Greg Sidders, Sunday, 03-29-15

Do you love God unconditionally?

That's not a misprint. I'm not asking whether God puts conditions on His love for you. I'm asking whether your love for Him is buckled to the roller coaster of your circumstances.

If you will admit that your devotion to Jesus tends to climb and dive based on the ups and downs of life, I hope to see you at White Pine this Sunday. We are going to take a closer look at that scene that plays in our mind every Palm Sunday. The triumphal entry of Jesus is about more than palm branches. It's really about a Savior whose love for us is far more dependable than our love for Him. When you see that love, in His eyes, on that donkey, it might just free you from earthbound worship once and for all.

Notes and Discussion Questions - A Little Knowledge

PDF Notes and Discussion Questions, "A Little Knowledge" by Greg Sidders

A Little Knowledge

Listen to, "A Little Knowledge" by Greg Sidders, Sunday, 03-22-15

When it comes to spiritual truth, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

All around us are people who know just enough about Jesus to think they are on their way to heaven but not enough to actually do what it takes to get there. And guess who God has chosen to circle wrong answers and fill in the blanks?

Yep, you. And me. What frightening privilege!

This Sunday at White Pine, we are going to see what can happen when we muster the courage to correct others' misconceptions about the way of salvation. If you are a little short on bravery, don't miss it!

Notes and Discussion Questions - Night Vision

PDF Notes and Discussion Questions, "Night Vision" by Greg Sidders

Night Vision

Listen to, "Night Vision" by Greg Sidders, Sunday, 03-15-15

It's a phrase that sounds melodramatic until you experience it.

The dark night of the soul.

There are many descending paths into that black hole, but when you find yourself there, it seems as if there is no way out-and no way for God to get in.

But the truth is, He is already there. And He wants to whisper something to you that will help you see daylight again.

What is it? Find out this Sunday at White Pine.

Notes and Discussion Questions - When You Are Getting Thrashed

PDF Notes and Discussion Questions, "When You Are Getting Thrashed" by Greg Sidders

When You Are Getting Thrashed

Listen to, "When You Are Getting Thrashed" by Greg Sidders, Sunday, 03-08-15

I predict that when you wake up on Sunday morning, you will be tempted not to go to church.

I'm not a prophet, just a student of history. Sunday is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time. In all my years, I have never seen church attendance go up on the first day of DST. It's the one Sunday when we are most likely to play hooky. Heck, I might stay in bed myself if I weren't the pastor.

But I want to urge you to drag yourself to church, and not just so that we can have a full house. No, it's because I really believe God wants to encourage you--especially if you have been going through a tough time lately. The passage that we will be studying this Sunday will help you to make sense of those seemingly senseless struggles that you have been having. I want that for you, so I'm pleading with you: Come.. The coffee will be strong, and the message will give you eyes to see the story God is writing in your life.

Notes and Discussion Questions - To Fight or Not to Fight

To Fight or Not to Fight

Listen to, "To Fight or Not to Fight" by Greg Sidders, Sunday, 03-01-15

I know Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers," but is it ever OK to be a fighter?

Yes. In fact, sometimes it's required.

This Sunday at White Pine, we are going to learn from Acts 15:1 - 16:5 two important lessons about conflict: 1) how to reduce it, and 2) when to create it. Discern the difference, and you'll be that much more like Jesus.
